So this information is what I found when I came back from Paris. Such a shame I only found out about this when I wasn’t there anymore. I do have to admit it was all a bit confusing. There were so many Chanel boutiques/logos around that area that I didn’t know what everything was when I got there, haha. Oh well, better luck next time. And there will be a next time for sure!
So here’s a little map with some background information. Super useful when you get there and you have no idea what you’re looking at (just like me when I was there). I found this information on Chanel’s website so it should be the correct information.
29, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré
The townhouse where Gabrielle Chanel lived for a while before taking up permanent residence at the Ritz Paris. This was where she showed her first diamond High Jewelry collection, Bijoux de diamants, at an exhibition in 1932.
25, rue Royale
The Chanel boutique is in the passage between rue Royale and rue Boissy d’Anglas.
31, rue Cambon
The Haute Couture ateliers, Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment, and the design studio.
21, rue Cambon
The very first Chanel boutique opened here in 1910, orginally selling nothing but hats.
18, place Vendôme
The High Jewelry boutique opened in 1997.
15, place Vendôme
The Ritz Paris Hotel, founded by César Ritz in 1898, was home to Gabrielle Chanel from 1935 to 1971.
I’ll show you what I bought at the boutique soon!
